Sempervivum (houseleeks) by beryl

Sempervivum (houseleeks)

This is one of the many varieties of houseleeks , I love this hardy variety which I have in my garden as it gives glorious colour even when there is very little else to give colour in the garden !
A very different day to the sunny warm days of last week , today is cod, windy with rain-showers Back to my winter jumpers and the heating on !!
Having just seen @maggiemae freshly baked pikelets , I think I shall go and do a spot of baking myself this afternoon !
May you all enjoy a peaceful and safe weekend .
Lovely pictures Beryl. A very cheery colour to have in the garden at the present time.

These are so lovely. We’ve been cold again the last few days. Hopeful for warm sunshine soon! I think I will bake today too. 😊

They are a gorgeous colour and form and they look lovely altogether in their garden pot. Cold and windy here too with a temperature of 9 what a change from earlier in the week. Have a lovely weekend Beryl. Fav

When you look closely at these plants it’s amazing the detail there is there....no rain here & not that cold....better tomorrow I believe! Stunning colour, lovely in a garden.

What a beautiful plant. It is cooling down here in Australia now we are in Autumn but still in the low 20s.

They look like cactus with those spiky tips! My pikelets weren't so nice - I had the mixture too thick.

Beautiful collage, Beryl, and I love the rich colors.

@maggiemae it couldn't be the day for baking - my spomge cake was not as light as it should be either - I blame it on the cooking fat - I can't get the usual and so used a cheaper one - shall use my butter next time !
