What difference a few days make - from the sweltering heat and drought to much lower temperature , rain , wind , and even a hailstorm at lunchtime - I had to put the heating on for a couple of hours this morning ! and we are only a couple of weeks from midsummer . Like the instability of the world our weather is also topsy-turvy .
Difficult to capture anything to shoot in this wind ,but the water lily obliged !
I had a telephone consultation with my rheumatologist this morning and was a bit disappointed as he didn't want me to lower the steroid dose I am taking at the moment , because of the severity of my condition he though that the steroids at this dosage would be a life long treatment for me . ( I have been taking them for over 8 years ! ) Ah ! well , if that is the case - I must thankfully obey and be grateful of the care I get !
Have a pleasant weekend , and keep safe :)
You have a pond too...don’t think we have seen your pond, if I have I have forgotten. Waxy thick leaves don’t move much in the wind, it’s a lovely flower. You keep taking the tablets Beryl....be glad they don't want to reduce them because of the cost, as long as they do the trick that’s all that matters.
Love that shot of the water lily. It has such beautiful details and the comp is excellent. I have the wind issue today as well and our temp bounces from 102 to low 80s. But we are already in fire season so the wind is extra hazardous.
@onewing - it might as well be winter here too Babs !! Blustery winds with a real cold chill , squally rain showers !! And I have just put the the heating on this morning !
Beautiful waterlily with its pale pink petals and a lovely capture.Sometimes I wish we still had our pond it was always fascinating with the various plants and wild life but the up keep was too much work after Mick became ill. We couldn't believe we had over 80 frogs and toads which we rounded up and the local junior school had them for their wildlife pond. After emptying them all out they were leaping all over the playground it was after school hours so the children didn't get to see the fun but the teachers thought it was hilarious. Fav
Rain and wind here, only 11C. Cold!
