My golden ivy - originally a pot plant , has grown hugely over the years over an old tree trunk in the garden . Very slow growing , but after approx. 25 years this year I have notice an abundant supply of buds - I wonder if the berries will be black !
I woke up to a horribly wet day , dull and miserable . and it seems this weather is with us for a few days !
Snap. Many years ago we had a pot ivy which didn’t like the house. I planted it outside the front door and it was “watered” every time the dogs went out. When we moved 26 years ago, I brought cuttings and again it didn’t like being inside. It’s now a carefully tended shelter and fast food outlet for birds and insects.
And we’ve got rain, rain and even more rain too.
Rain, rain and more rain! I keep telling myself... it is good for the garden! You have some beautiful plants and this one looks very healthy and happy.
Your ivy is lovely with its matching green berries and I always think they make a great addition in the garden for shelter and food for the birds and insects. Great capture with the golden touch. Fav
@craftymeg Ha ! I am sure this one will be down one day as the tree trunk is so rotten and loose !! But it makes quite a statement amongst the dark green foliage around it !
We have this ivy growing all over the front porch.... I haven’t looked at ours fir a few days but suspect it looks very like this with the same buds. A terrible day here today....rain rain rain.
Beautiful. One thing I hate in English weather is the lack of sunshine for most of the year. We are used to sunshine almost everyday. However you can enjoy all those different beautiful flowers which most of them cannot stick our weather.
And we’ve got rain, rain and even more rain too.
