At last my Nellie Mosser Clematis is starting to flower - a bit late in comparison with previous years ! This is the 1st flower !
Haven't been the best of days for me !! The saga began yesterday morning when I was woken at 7.45 am by the doorbell ringing ! - I poked my head through the bedroom window to find 2 delivery men . with my new bed !! I had not had a confirmation of date or time of delivery - so not ready - The base was put in the spare bedroom/ office and the mattress upright against the wardrobe ! That was only the beginning of the saga .Late afternoon I spied what I thought was a rat under my bird feeding station eating the seed droppings . The amusement of her antics soon turned into horror as I watched three youngsters joining mum !! So on line to find a local pest controller ! He arrived here this a.m , searched for evidence in the garden and outer buildings -- No evidence only around the bird feeders ! so he has set traps etc in the vicinity ! To return at a later date . I have been waiting all morning for a telephone consultation with the GP! -- but still waiting ! With Gary's help I now need to sort out my bedroom - So sorry if I do not get time to comment much tonight ! Most probably too exhausted !!!!
That is a lovely capture and what a day! Hope you get your pests sorted out, we had some under the shed at our other house, luckily it was passing through and we had a rat catcher sort out bait etc. Apparently it was an Avery down the road that had caused the problem.
Oh heck Beryl....quite a day! That’s the trouble with bird feeders they do sometime attract rats! Sounds like they are living elsewhere but coming to yours for their dinner! Rats used to worry me but they say you’re never more than a few feet from a rat! Or something like that.
