The burdock with its prickly sticky buds . As children we would play with this , throwing the buds at one another and they would stick to our clothing ! As children we used to call them "caca-mwnci " ( in Welsh )- I have no idea what it meant !!
Nice to view if you have the time !
I think mwnci in English is monkey and the first bit to put it politely could be poo ha ha.
I used to drink gallons of dandelion and burdock when I was a child we sold it in our shop and I loved it. No wonder I have problems with my innards now. ha ha
@onewing Ha ha ! -- yes quite right . Fancy you saying you sold Dandelion and Burdock in your shop when a child My mum had the village stores and we also sold dandelion and burdock - I liked it as a child , but tasted it recently and found it so sweet and not to my more mature taste ! ha ha !
@boatman137 looked up , cleavers - cleavers is its proper name - we knew it as goose-grass ! That also was a sticky grass that clung to you ( and animals !) and had small round seed-heads on it !
I know the plant burdock but not as a tea. I do drink dandelion tea made of stems and flowers, it brings the swelling in my feet down. not more water pills.
