Santa perching on the shelf by beryl

Santa perching on the shelf

-- his usual place year after year ! Frazzled when things don't go to plan !! - must relax ! Card through door -- Parcel/ card not delivered due to not sufficient postage , argh -- choice of collecting from PO - (not feasible ) 2nd choice -pay on line and chose a delivery date -( chose this ) Made a batch of mince pies - determined the pastry would't be tough - alas made it too short - hence the mince pies are rather crumbly !! -- they will have to do ! I think the rest of the day will be me time with pottering and small jobs !
NB -- Just realised the mince-pies will be rescued and delicious served with a good serving of brandy-cream ! - shall think of my diet after Christmas !!
What a lovely perch for your Santa, love the baubles too. Sounds like a tough day Beryl, at least you can enjoy your mince pies after all.

Lovely to see Santa watching over you. It is an exhausting time of the year Beryl especially when things don't go to plan but pleased to hear you have everything in hand. I love thick Brandy cream I always buy a tub as soon as it is in the shops in December.

I love his pose, he’s very comfy. A sweet shot of this shelf. Yes, it is so hard to diet during the holidays.

A very decorative Christmas shelf.

The mince pies will be very moorish…nothing you cook will be wasted I’m sure! We had that problem with non delivery of parcel….I tried to pay the £2 online but it wouldn’t go through so in the end I left it…no idea what it was as addressed to Harry & he sends for nothing. Will be a too large agriculture promotion so it can stay in the post office!

Mince pies are always best, warm with brandy cream/ butter - I won’t eat them any other way! Not worth getting in a stew about Beryl, all will be well .

Santa looks so relaxed. Hope you have recovered from your stress now. If ever David gets in a bit of a dither about anything I usually say 'Is it life threatening, is it going to be the end of civilisation as we know it' and if the answer is No, I say let it go.

You are so good at doing things yourself instead of buying it all. Those mince pies sound delicious - also served with a fine custard!

A sweet display. And I love the pose of your Santa. Nothing to worry about, he says.(Parcel delivery screwup and less than perfect mince pies (I doubt it, really)- not to worry).
