I will not mention the K word as I do not want to upset my friend Diana @ludwigsdiana But I do wonder which came first the horticultural name of this lily and also the lime . It makes me think that the flower and fruit came first and humans then used the name as a derogative name for the black people of S Affrica !

We have to be careful…as quite often it’s ignorance not any mean to upset…..different words mean different things in languages. I think the Latin names for plants must surely go back a very long way?
It is beautiful. Glad you aren't going to jail. I didn't know the K word was a derogatory term. There are certain words we can't say here either for Aboriginal people. Mind you by the same token people aren't allowed to call us ex Brits Pommies anymore either as that is termed as derogatory. I call myself a Pomm so must I fine myself if I say it.
