After such a hot sultry day, too hot for comfort, the skies darkened, the wind blew widely and at first the large spots of rain came down onto the dry and parched ground. Suddenly the heavens opened , the thunder roared and lightening struck. Such a wild few hours, but I was pleased the land was replenished with some rain to freshen up the earth.
I couldn't make the scene justice but this collage was the best I could do!
Beautiful collage that tells a story. Glad for you that you had rain. We are so used to have sunshine and lack of rain for very long periods that when I (or better, we) feel disrupted when it rains during the day.
@mittens - unfortunately very hot again today but still thunderstorms around - -hope we will get more rain , and hope you will also have a share of the rain!!
Great Storm collage Beryl through your wet window. We were forecast thunder storms but they never arrived and today is hot again. Your garden will appreciate the rain at last.
Well captured.This evening we've had distant thunder,a little lightning and not much rain.I was hoping there'd be a good rain shower to save me having to water my plants.Nevertheless, Daisy still heard the thunder and she's hiding under the sofa.
It was such a change to hear the rain on the roof….a pleasant welcome sound it was too. You have captured the excitement well. The garden is looking fresher!
