In spring delightful large spear shaped white veined leaves -- great in floral art , Summer a beautiful lily shaped flower and now as summer draws to Autumn we have these stems of bright berries
Added info: This is the Arum Italicum ( Italian arum ,or Italian lord and ladies !! ) A close relative to the Arum maculatum ( the woodland's cuckoo pint ) The A Italicum has white veins on the leaves while the leaf of the woodland cousin Arum Maculatum has black spots on their leaves !
@wordpixman Yes Arthur , beautiful but so poisonous -- this is of the same family as the cuckoo pit - but it's name fails me !! -- senior moment !! ha ha !!
Somehow, orange is poisonous in plants - except for citrus, of course. These berries seem to grow at the end of a stalk! Very different from hanging berries!
@busylady Judith I have looked up the info and have added it to the description above -- It is Arum Italicum (a name I remember from my flower arranging days !!)
