Autumn is here !!

The horse-chestnut had abundance of ripening conkers -- a lot had already fallen to the ground . ,and the children no doubt had hoarded them for future conker games !

Nice shot. I always collect a few conkers & put them in pots around the house. I was once told they help to stop lots of spiders coming in !!
