The 1st day of March , A very cold day , -4 deg. with a wind chill of -14 deg. When it is forecasted that the Beast from the East collides with Storm Emma giving blizzards , freezing rain and gale force winds . Woke up this morning to a white world of very dry snow which drifts in the sudden gusts of wind . ( Photo taken from my bedroom window @ 9.48 am )
Dilemma - do I venture out to do our weekly shopping or leave it till tomorrow ! ( tomorrow could be worse ) !!
PS. just been shopping and home safely -- so now "let it snow ,let it snow , let it snow !! (sorry for the selfish attitude but I do feel for the animals out in this weather, especially the sheep lambing at the moment !)
Just been reminded of the old saying " March comes in like a lion , and out like a lamb " It certainly being rather stormy and wintery -- lets hope it will improve in the course of the month !!

Glad you're all stocked up & the cupboards are full. Always a relief for us women to be able to provide! The snow is very powdery, I noticed on our trip out today the wind was blowing it about & there was some drifting. Stay warm & hope Alfie is coping being cooped up!
