A pair of collared doves

Such gentle little birds - I love it when they visit the garden - they always come in pairs .

They are beautiful. The doves are always at the end of the pecking order in our garden. They only get to the seed once the lorikeets and corellas have had their fill.

I love them too (unlike those pesky, fat pigeons! :) ). We had a pair for some years, now there is only one, which is sad.
