The two bridges at Atcham

For those of you that are wondering about the two bridges crossing the Severn side by side - This shows a red van crossing the Severn on the new bridge while the Solid pillars of the old bridge (1774)looming behind it .

N.B. The older bridge built in 1774 commonly known as Atcham bridge , no longer was suitable for the then modern traffic ,so the newer bridge was opened in1929 to carry the old A5 ( now the B45380) road over the Severn .
Great capture Beryl. I didn't realise that old and new were side by side.
