Cordyline Australis by beryl

Cordyline Australis

A close-up of the flower-head of my Cordyline as mentioned in my main album !
Nice to see our native cabbage tree across the otherside of the world.. The perfume is intoxicating.. Amazing they are so slow in developing.. I have one in the garden 20 years old and probably 12 foot high and has been flowering for years..

@julzmaioro It was a lovely surprise to see it in flower ,this year - I suppose in our colder climate it is lucky to survive and a bonus that it has flowered after all these years ! My only reservations I have is that when the flower have died - I will not be able to reach to cut off the flowers and the beautiful shape of the plant will be destroyed - but time will tell and nature will have to take its course !

Wonderful to see it in flower at last and to enjoy its lovely scent. I expect it will attract a lot of insects on those lovely flowers. Fav.
