Fabulous day hunting the Paddingtons. It was a last minute decision to go to London as hubby was at Watford office today. So the morning he printed out maps and drew on the route :-)
We travelled up together on the high speed train to St pancreas where we parted. I headed down to the tube first stop Knightsbridge one in Hans Cresent. Then onto The serpentine Kensington gardens enjoyed strolling even in the light drizzle which was slightly annoying for taking shots. Found two there then Lancaster tube to Notting hill gate one there not far from the tube back to Lancaster Gate next stop Marble Arch to walk Oxford St darting off here and there to name a few..... New Bond Street, Berkeley square....Carnaby St, Chinatown, Piccadilly circus finally ending up at Covent Garden where I met hubby.
First stop.. Nero for coffee, then onto a pub for a cherry beer and our finally stop...just across the road to Prezzo. A really enjoyable day and evening.
Three good things for the day
1. Managed to follow the maps hubby printed out...occassionly checking Google maps....
2. A day with the camera in my hands
3. Wonderful evening drinks at The Chandos... Then across the road to Prezzo delicious .....the first time we have eaten there. .... Another one to our favourites list I think :-)
Wow what a great day you had and a perfect way to show all the shots. I must try and get round to seeing them as well. I see you were also in Brick Lane, would like to be counted in next time there is a trip out in London. Who should I drop a line to?
@scarybird hi Steve it is @ padlock who organises it. I will try and remember to give you a heads up next time. I think the next one will be some time in the New Year....
