Never realised what a challenge this would be!! The first 13 miles good... but as each mile on wow I begin to realise what Becka told me (as she did it too last year and again this year to keep me company so wonderful of her and it was great to have her company kept me going and at a good pace too - well expect the last two miles where I was extremely slow as my knee was so so painful!!) I found the marathon ok until mile 22 then the pain begin got to mile 24 So so wished it was 26. The last two miles were annoy but Becka was so so fantastic cheering me on Mum you can do it And I DID What an achievement !!
Saw Mile 26 whoop whoop but still had to carry on walking to collect our medals. Becka sat on the floor while I had my medal engraved, went back to join was going to sit on the floor but decided not too as don’t think i’d Be able to get back up. Left there walked to Canon Street managed to pull myself up the stairs using the hand rail!! Darling hubby met us at the station and piggy backed me to the car!! Then took us to Weatherspoons for breakfast
