A customer came to collect her dresses today and asked if I’d do her a favour. I thought she was going to ask me to alter another dress before she goes on holiday. But out of the bag she got this beautiful button bag and asked if I would take it. I absolutely love it and said I shall treasure it, I love it. She spoke about this bag when leaving my sewing room when she dropped her dresses off as she saw my button jar. And I told her the story that it was buttons from my tailoring days. When I was leaving the company under my desk was this massive box of buttons that the tailors over the years had dumped unused buttons. So I every day the week before leaving throw a hand full
In my bag.
This button bag belonged to her nan and she is clearing out and wanted the button bag to go to a good home ....I love it and shall treasure it. Janet has been coming to me for years we hugged and I thanked her so much. I really and truely adore it.
How very lovely. What a treasure. I inherited my Nan's button tin when my Mum passed......I never knew she had kept it.......I still have it and use it too.....:)
