Today my wife and I attended the swearing in ceremony of the new Premier of the Province of Alberta. This was the first time I ever went to something like this. It was also a historic day because Allison Redford is the first female premier in the history of the Province of Alberta.
Sorry this photo is not the clearest but from where I was standing and the lighting in the building this was the best shot I could get.
It was worth being there in the midst of all the people to watch history unfold
sounds like a great day, you have a wonderful pic to preserve the good memories. I like the architecture behind her, the attentive audience in front, and her stance embracing the podium as she embraces her new duties. super shot.
It's hard to shoot something like this without a tripod and flash, so I think it came out quite well. It's a great feeling to be part of history like that. That's worth more than getting the perfect shot off.
a nice piece of history to capture. hopefully, in 20 years time, people might wonder why it was so historic. Similar changes finally happening here in oz too. :)
