Well today we lit up our Christmas downtown at Churchill Square. This is a 71 foot tall Douglas Fir with 10,000 lights on it and a nice star on the top.
There was a good size crowd out despite the cold, -30 degrees Celcius, weather. There was live entertainment and fireworks to go with the tree being all lit up.
Sorry for it being a little on the blurry side but no tripod and my hands were so cold by the time I took this shot. I think it still gets the idea across. Christmas season has officially kicked off here in the Great White North
Our holiday season in the U.S. is officially kicked off after Thanksgiving but i realize the Candian Thanksgiving is in Oct. which gives you a longer season. Of course many of our merchants jump the gun by about 6 weeks so they would be happy to get the tree lit early. Love the colors here.
