Well on Saturday I posted a picture from West Edmonton Mall. Yes I do try to avoid the mall at this time of the year, however, this was the real reason I went to the mall. Sears had a large banner set up in their store that people could sign and it is being sent to our troops currently serving in Afghanistan. So I took the time to express my heart felt appreciation to each of them and then I took the time to get a picture.
Words really do not express enough what they are doing for us over their and the sacrifice they are making.
So this is for all of those serving who will be away from your families this holiday season and to all of the family members here at home. The sacrifice that you are making as well does not go un noticed or unappreciated.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Thank you indeed. So hard to think of them over there away from their families for Christmas. Good for you for sending your Christmas wishes their way.
Isn't that an amazing thing for the store to do, great idea. I am sure the serving forces will be very touched. Have you heard about the military wives choir from the UK? So touching, it is a long story but cut short a song has been written from letters sent from forces to wives and vice versa and the ladies have formed a choir and released it as a song, it is so lovely, you may find something on you tube?
A great idea to be sent to the troops over Christmas. My brother in law is a bomb disposal expert and has now done 3 tours of Afghan. I'm always worried when he's away but we've been lucky that he has returned home safely each time. My heart goes out to those who are less fortunate.
