Tonight was a wonderful night. We took in the Edmonton Transit Christmas Lights Tour. You ride on a bus to a few spots in the city and it gives you a chance to enjoy some of the Christmas Lights around the city.
It takes us down Candy Cane Lane ( I will have to go back and get some nicer shots) We went down to our Legislature grounds which are always lit us so nice. The tour stops here for about 25 minutes which allowed me the oppurtunity to get some relly nice shots. This is the front of our Provincial Capitol Building There is a large Christmas tree, I was standing next to it when I took this shot.
The cost is only $3.00 and the money goes towards the Donate a Ride Program
There was a choir singing inside and they had Christmas music playing outside
I even won a prize while on the bus
It really was a great night
yet another thing i didn't know! i had no idea about the Christmas lights tour. I am planning on going to candy cane lane this week! this is a lovely shot- the lights look great!
@laurentye Actually I learned about it by chance. It was a lot of fun. They do this every year. Later on I will have to go walking Candy Cane Lane and get some shots there
What a great idea! I love the sense of community behind that, and the lights, of course, are stunning. It's one of my favourite things about Christmas time :)
