Winter Ice Festival

This year represents 30 years since Alberta became twins with the Chinese province of Heilongjiang. So to honour that this years winter Ice Festival had a Chinese connection.
This is a replica in ice of the Alberta Legislature Building. It was carved by an artist from China
We had a little bit of an adventure today as it started to snow late this afternoon. It was a bit on the cold side and snowing heavier by the time we go here. Melody sat inside the warm tent while I went around and took some pictures. It really was beautiful seeing all the sculptures at night all lit up
