This park is across from the LeMarchand Mansion. (yesterday's photo). It is the Grant Notley Park Grant Notley was the leader ot the New Democratic Party in Alberta from 1968-1984. He became the leader of the opposition in the 1982 election and the party was on the rise in popularity when he was killed in a plane crash on Oct. 19,1984.
This park is just a short distance from the Legislature Building and is a very nice place to just sit and relax and take in the view of the river valley.
During the summer it is always a very busy spot. The gazeebo also makes a nice spot for photos and it is usually being used just for that.
Have a great weekend everyone
It is so beautiful where you live. You have such a nice blend of nature and cityscapes. I hope you and Melody have a wonderful weekend too. I could swear that I've been following you for a while, but today it says I'm not. I will go correct that right now.
