Today's retail therapy take us into Manulife Place. This is the entrance off of 101 street. It really is a lovely place. And it might be fit for king. This location was home of the King Edward Hotel which was built in 1904. It was truely an elaborate hotel which served the cityof Edmonton quite well.
Unfortunately in 1975 it burnt to the ground. Manulife opened for business in 1982. Not only is it home to numerous shops and restaurants it also has a 39 story office tower which I have featured on a couple of occasiions on my project.
Tomorrow we will make our way into the heart of the retail district in Edmonton
this looks almost similar to the manulife centre in uptown toronto. hmmm...i should go there sometime and take a photo. this is a great shot, brian. you've captured the place very well.
