Well today was not a problem finding a picture for today's word. Today was a wonderful day as I celebrated my 50th Birthday today.
Had breakfast in bed, Then it was off to Simon's at West Edmonton Mall to do some shopping, followed by lunch at the Deluxe Burger Bar.
Stopped off downtown and picked up a new book with some of the money my Mom gave me for my Birthday.
Then it was home to get ready for dinner. Before we left home I finally got the present from the pink bag, pics to follow in a couple of days, a beautiful hard cover book. New York Now and Then The New York Times. It is a Journal that has pictures of New York City from the past with a shot of the same location today.
We went to dinner at the Hotel Macdonald which was a lovely evening out. Here I received one more gift. A little bag with a teddy bear and tickets to go and see Dickens A Christmas Carol at the Citadel Theatre, this has been a dream of mine for many years. Wow I guess Melody must really love me to spoil me like this.
By the way, this shot was taken out the window at the Lounge while we were having dinner
What a wonderful birthday you've had! And it does appear that Melody must feel some affection for you. ;-)
The book sounds very interesting. I love seeing before and after photos of different towns/regions. Most of the time, I prefer the 'before' photo.
Brrrr....I honestly just got a chill looking at that snow. Lovely view you had while enjoying dinner.
Happy Birthday! Great book she got you I bet that is very interesting. The tickets sound great too. Melody did it right - something tells me she loves you. Love this view, very peaceful looking.
Happy Birthday!!! You had a wonderful celebration and more to look forward to. You sure do have a lot of snow already. I'm hoping we don't get much this year, but I think I am going to be disappointed!
@pasadenarose I agree with you that the before shots are usually much more interesting. So for sending you a little chill but I am sure it won't last long for you

I missed your big day, Brian. Happy Belated Birthday. What a wonderful birthday you had and it will continue when you go to see Dickens A Christmas Carol. Melody sure surprised you. What a wonderful wife she is. Nice shot of the snow. Looks so cold.
A belated Happy Birthday to you, Brian. Sounds like you had a lovely time with many great presents. You are Melody are the perfect couple ;-) Wishing you many more memorable birthdays together.
Love all that snow! (but I'm glad I'm inside where it's warm!)
