I think I found the family that lives in that gingerbread house we found the other day. On Thursday night Melody and I went out for dinner with my Mom for a little Christmas get together as we will not be with my family this Christmas.
We had a lovely dinner and then afterwards we went for a drive to look at some Christmas lights.
There is a street in the west end of the city that is known as Candy Cane Lane. For many years now the residents on this street take the time to really decorate and so many people will drive up and down the street or go for a nice stroll to take in all of the sights and sounds.
This is one of the yards we came across so I had to find a place to pull over and get a shot.
So we left on our trip today as soon as I got of work which unfortunately was a lot later than I had hoped for. So we drove as far as Calgary and tomorrow morning we will make our way to Cranbrook, BC where Mel's brother and sister-in-law live
i would say you indeed found the family that lived in the gingerbread house from five photographs ago. wonderful shot, i say all that snow made it even more engaging. you and melody travel safe. @peterdegraaff - hahaha for the big oven!
How enchanting! Candy Cane Lane.....reminds me of the book Skipping Christmas made into the movie "Christmas with the Kranks where the neighbors on each street had elaborate decorations each year--mandatory with Frosty on the chimney. I love it and you did a great job photographing this one. Wishing you a good trip and a very Merry Christmas to you, Mel and your whole family.
