Ernest Brown was a prominent Edmonton photographer in the early days of Edmonton's history. Many of the photos he took are part of his collection which can be found in the City Archives. Today I thought I would py tribute to this wonderful man by putting together a little collection of my own. The house belonged to Ernest Brown and was built in 1912 in the Highlands neighbourhood. The building located downtown on Jasper Avenue is the Ernest Brown Block which was built in 1913 and housed his studio. I am so glad that we had people who knew the importance of preserving the history of ones city, town or wherever they called home
What a lovely presentation. I am happy to see the building and home was preserved. I really cringe when I see historical places torn down. Love that scrapbook type frame, too.
