I have lived most of my life in Edmonton and I just love city life. There are so many different things to take pictures of each day. Not to say that rural living doesn't provide those opportunities but I just love city living.
Today while waiting for the bus to go to work I was looking at these highrise apartment condos and I noticed how only a few light were on. So there were a some people who were up and getting ready for the day and I guess quite a few of them were still enjoying a good sleep
So today this is just one of the reasons I love living in the city
Nice shot! It's always interesting to see how many lights are on really late at night or early in the morning! Some people clearly don't need much sleep!
I'm a rural person myself...but I do enjoy visiting cities for a shkort time. I guess it is truly where you are raised. I do, however like the city lights at night
What a fabulous pov, Brian. I can fully understand why you love the city .. I love small town living, but miss the great and unending photo ops that you "big city" photographers have. :)
That is one great thing about living in the city... all the great night shots! Here it is very drab looking and I hope to get in to Saskatoon to take some nicer shots once it warms up a bit more. Thanks for sharing!
I see and feel what you saw in taking this picture. This is one of my favorite times of day. I love mornings when you have to have a ligth on in the house.
I love that too about the city, it is interesting to see how many people are up early, I think walking/driving through down town is always a fun experience as well. I have noticed that when I go home to see my family in the suburbs that it is way too dark, I can't imagine rural living, I need lights in my life! :-)
@karenann We did live in a small town once for a few months. It was definitely very different for us. The photo ops of the city are just ne of many reasons why I love the city
@heidit You're welcome. I take it you live close to Saskatoon. We have friends that live in Rosthern and I have a cousin in Warman. My wife and I lived in Sonningdale for a few months back in the late 90's
