An Old Rust Bucket by bkbinthecity

An Old Rust Bucket

So for today's word Rust it is back to Gasoline Alley. This old truck is the first vehicle you see when you enter the showroom. They have left this truck the way it is to show the condition some of the vehicles were in when they first began to work on them. The interesting thing is that every vehicle in this place actually runs even if it looks like it would not. If you have enjoyed the few pictures I have posted from Gasoline Alley and would like to see more feel free to check out our facebook page at Melody-Brian Bigam. If you put in a friend request we will accept it and you can check out an album I put together just from Gasoline Alley. Have a great weekend everyone
fun shot

This is definitely the before picture and it looks like there won't be an "after" one!

It could use some TLC.

It has always bothered me, the use of the term "restoration" with old vehicles, either autos or tractors. Where does "restoration" end and "rebuilding" begin? This old vehicle would be a restore, when you only have the frame, that is a rebuild.

Nice capture Brian certainly shows how little they have at the start.

This definately represents 'rust'. Great idea for them to have left this one as is to showcase the end result of the rebuilds/restorations. The automobile industry has really come a long way.

Fascinating to see this vehicle in this condition - it just shows how much work is needed to restore such vehicles!

Love this old rusty tractor! You captured it wonderfully!

Fantastic old truck, its so great to see them being preserved & restored. There is a Caterpillar museum in Rotorua NZ that has the same theme, all the old crawler tractors run & not all are restored. It shows the history of logging, farming & pioneer road building these tractors were used for. Very interesting!!
