So what do you do when given a beautiful warm and sunny day. Go on a walking tour and take a few, okay maybe quite a few, pictures.
We made our way to Morinville which is a small French Canadian community about one half hour north of Edmonton. Its beginnings date back to the late 1800's so needless to say they do have some wonderful old buildings.
The landmark building in the St Jean Baptiste Church. Unfortunately when we got there we discovered that it is under going some work and the front was covered with a large canopy and scaffolding.
So I walked over to the Rectory next door. It was built in two stages. The front was built in 1895, the addition on the back was built in 1918. So I invite you to come with me this week on a short tour of this lovely community.
Looking forward to the upcoming tour.
