Canadian National Railway

Continuing with the outdoor neon sign museum. Today I am featuring one from the Canadian National Railway. The railway has been part of Edmonton prior to us even officially becoming a city.
This sign was located on the CNR Station located downtown Edmonton. Today the CN Tower stands where the station was once located. I featured a night shot of the tower a few weeks ago
So this is up and going? I wonder how much electricity it uses! It is a marvel!

oh, my goodness! i remember those days when i had to send telegrams, you had to carefully consider the number of words or the rates would cost more. and one time i received a birthday greeting via telegram, it's ugly! this certainly brings up memories! nice!

Nicely captured, one tries to imagine all the activity that would have occurred under this sign.

Another nice capture. When we lived in NJ we were across the street from railroad tracks. There were always a lot of Canadian National Railways cars on the trains that went by.
