Beware of Thin Ice by bkbinthecity

Beware of Thin Ice

Today was a beautiful day, although it doesn't look like it here.
This is a skating pond at Rundle Park which was closed because of the thin ice
Interesting capture, it looks as if the ice is actually broken. How thin is the ice when it is ruled to be "too thin" ??

Goodness that looks really, really cold even though you say it isn't cold enough to skate.
January 2nd, 2015
Beautiful. A nice place for some ice-skating. Only when the ice is thick enough, though.

@vickisfotos Well most of our winter it is usually good to skate on so you can always visit us here anytime lol
January 2nd, 2015
We are strangers to ice down here. Several years ago, when we were visiting family up there over New Year's, they took us out onto Pine Lake ---- in the car. John and I were a little dubious about the whole idea. Glad they knew what they were doing......
