Half-Mast

Yesterday when we picked up Melody's parents we noticed that the flag at their residence was at half-mast
Upon investigation we learned that it had been lowered to remember the Canadian Army's involvement at the Battle of Vimy Ridge in WWI
Canadians played a vital role in the battle that was fought 99 years ago. It was fought on April 9-12, 1917

Yes we did, I used to take care of some Veterans 20+ years ago and we had a vet who had fought at Vimy Ridge. Great shot and wonderful sign of respect.

A very good reason to lower the flag. Those who fought in war should definitely be remembered, and Vimy Ridge was such an important victory for Canada.
