Bishop's Residence by bkbinthecity

Bishop's Residence

Located on Mission Hill next to Father Lacombe chapel is this beautiful building.
This building was completed in 1887. The original plan was for it to be a Hospital but the Grey Nuns decided it should be the Bishop's Residence.
I did have the opportunity to go inside this building once many years ago.
Unfortunately it is currently not open to the public
A lovely building.

I thought the building was a bit large for a bishop’s residence, but if it was originally meant as a hospital, it makes sense. Nice building.
