Then and Now....Good Old Alberta Beef

Alberta is known for a few different things. One of those is the beef industry. For over a century now many meat packing plants have operated in the province. Many of them here in Edmonton.
One of those is Vogel Meats which is still in operation today.
My post today highlights this company. When they started they were located in the southern end of the Mill Creek Ravine.
The top photo shows the plant in 1902. The bottom picture is an old photo showing what the site looks like today.
