This picture was taken in the spring of 1990. Melody and I were part of a group from Northwest Bible College that spent a week in New York City. We were involved in a children's musical called The Bible the Amazing Book.
On a day off the church that was hosting us took us on a tour of the city.
Later in the day we had the opportunity to visit the twin towers. We had the chance to be on the observation deck when it was light and then after the sun went down.
It is something l will never forget. Melody decided to stay below as she was afraid of the height.
I am so glad l had the chance to visit the twin towers. As it turned out it became a once in a lifetime opportunity
I was in New York in 2000. I didn't do the Towers Observation Deck. I was on a budget so passed on spending money. I did do the Stanton Island Ferry (free) and had someone take my picture with the towers behind. Weird even now to think about it.
Just seeing the gripping images on our TV screen was an unforgettable experience.
a tragic day that changed all our lives forever
