Churches Of Edmonton.....First Baptist

I have decided to do a short series this week featuring a few of Edmonton's churches.
This is The First Baptist Church located in downtown Edmonton. It has been here since the late 1950's and today is as far as l know the only Church left in the downtown area of the city
Such a lovely little church, amazing that it is in downtown.

Strange question-- is "Av" the normal abbreviation for Avenue out there? I remember "Av" street signs here when I was little, but nowadays it's abbreviated to "Ave" whenever I see it!

A good view of the church. Too bad that it's the only church in town. Have the others closed or moved to the "burbs"?
March 7th, 2023
God Bless them! And may they never leave. Nice shot.
March 7th, 2023
Nice capture.

Nice shot. Good for First Baptist for staying in the downtown area.

You have struck a chord with me here! I think it is so sad that churches don't have enough support to stay in certain areas, often the places that need them the most.
