Fountains Abbey

I'd like to have taken a wider shot of the abbey, but yesterday they had half a stage built in front of it, ready for play that night - they were putting on 'pride and prejudice' and we saw Mr Darcy at the end of the evening as we snuck out :-)
Not the best of photo's but I liked the sky and the birds flying. Good for memories - good ol' 365!

oooh the birds make it seem soo spooking!! now we just need them silhouetted against a moonlit sky with some fog near the base of the building :)

Such a pretty building, and the birds give it a kind of creepy feel. Reminds me a bit of when we visited the Kells Priory in Ireland. It was completely deserted except for a bunch of ravens wheeling overhead.
