Typical scene on an US Indian Reservation. Growing up amongst boarded houses, bad schools, and little opportunity. It pisses me off that our country has places like this and everyone looks the other way like it doesn't exist or the classic 'it's 'not our problem' attitude. It is our problem. In a perfect world, our country would stop fighting world wars and being a big bully and help ourselves for a change. ...sigh....
Great shot, and I agree wholeheartedly

Great reportage shot.

Sounds like it is a subject you are interested in. Tell their stories in your photos.

@dmortega @dmortega I would like to, but it's a complicated subject. They really don't appreciate people taking photos and they really don't want 'white people' in their face. There is actually a rez right down the street from where I live and the only 'whities' they want to see is in their casino being foolish enough to loose their money to them. sigh. It's a subject that many of us would like to broach but they are a very proud bunch and no less pig headed than the rest of us. If only people, all people, let their guards down things might be different.

These photos are so interesting. This is a great shot, I think the lensbaby emphasises the heat (kind of like a heat haze effect).

Bravo! From a little country close to the South Pole, I knew that there are Americans who cares!

I feel your frustration so succinctly captured in this telling image.

Awesome shot, I've been out there and felt the same way. I also went to the Heard Museum and was shocked to learn at the Indian history and how they were treated.
