On the way back from dropping Joey off at school this morning these cattails caught my attention so I ran over and took some quick pictures. I took several shots and none of them turned out quite like I had hoped but hey, it was -5 degrees when I took them so I didn't spend a lot of time on composition!! :)
I think you did a wonderful job of capturing them! The sunlight sneaking in is perfect.
-5? Wow. I don't know that I wouldn't gotten out of the car. Wait, yes I would have for the right photograph!.
I think this is really beautiful!!! I love the far-away gray-blue sky, the dried, golden grasses, and the kiss of light... Just glorious!!! You have a great eye for beauty, Paula!!!
Thanks for all the nice comments! I have gotten so far behind on everything lately that I haven't had much of a chance to look at everyone's photos or do much commenting this week but I plant to catch up soon! :)
Very nice again. I find (like with the corn fields) cat tails sometimes hard to photograph so they look as good as seen by my eye. I think this softer focus is a good way to shoot them It was pretty darn nippy here too.
