I feel like I won the lottery!! I had given up on finding a picture for today but as I was driving home tonight there he was, impossible to miss him sitting high up in a dead tree. I stopped in the middle of the road and got out and he just sat there and let me shoot away. There were 3 blackbirds harassing him and one eventually drove him off.
Your lucky day for sure. Wow, what beautiful capture. The detail in the plumage is incredible. Its funny how smaller birds will go after a large raptor to protect their nest or babies.
