Thank you all for the wonderful comments and faves on my previous shots! You are just the greatest bunch of 365ers :-)
Spent a gorgeously sunny afternoon with my Mum exploring the medieval city centre of Nuremberg and enjoying the summery temperatures. This is the view from the castle. It will have looked very similar in days gone by. Most of the centre within the city walls was heavily destroyed during the war. Nuremberg was where Hitler held his big rallies and marches. This on top of other things made it into a prime target for the allied forces. Most of Nuremberg including the church in the foreground was beautifully and sympathetically restored over a long period of time. Looking down on the city it never seizes to amaze me.
Gosh - can't believe you took that this week.... it really looks like an olde photo! They have restored it really well, and your processing is 2nd to none!
