Drove through thick fog on Sunday morning on my way to work. The sun managed to shift the fog over the land. Took the coastal route home - half the car in sea mist and half of it in bright sunshine! The mist was pushing up the banks of the Tyne in North Shields all the way to Knotts Flats.
@woot Davide, this is quite typical weather in the summer months. There could be the most glorious summer day half a mile in from the coast and the coast wrapped in eternal sea mist - which makes the temperatures drop to say the least! I've never experienced such a clear divide though and so directly on the coastline.
