The Holy Grail tapestries

Details from this series of gorgeous tapestries designed by Edward Burne-Jones and William Morris originally woven at Merton Abbey in 1890-4 for Stanmore Hall, a country house in Harrow. On display at the William Morris Gallery as part of their King Arthur and the Pre-Raphaelites exhibition.

Got to see it finally on the last day of the exhibition having cycled there after popping to the farmers' market and the library. Another beautifully sunny but freezing day.

3 good things
1. There's a fish stall back at the farmers' market - bought scallops and tiger prawns, eaten for supper fried up with garlic, chilli, lime and coriander, and noodles.
2. Finally submitted my tax return.
3. Quickly scanned through and threw out loads of magazines that have been building up. Always a good feeling to get rid of clutter.

Beautiful tapestries, always good having a clear out. But often once thrown out you‘ll have a use for it the following week 🤣.
