Hidden away in the tunnels at Waterloo are these amazing mosaics commemorating William Blake who lived in these parts for a time. On a wander at lunchtime.
Was on a training course here and ended up arriving late - a combination of leaving late, busy Victoria line, no info at Waterloo on the different exits and just sheer wayfinding in the maze of streets and tunnels around Waterloo.
Course was good but their lunch was a bit minimal - a couple of wraps, some crisps and houmous without a spoon. No fruit or anything. Finished early though so home soon to talk to sisters about complicated plans for hosting everyone.
3 good things
1. Training course was good - informative and practical.
2. Waterloo is still such an interesting relatively undeveloped part of town.
3. Dave did lots of shopping for the coming days - lots of family turning up and picnic planned for Saturday.
so much to discover though..
great POV
