OK, so it was the first working day after the start of the Olympics - the first day of official 'Olympic travel mayhem' and there was I ready with my elbows and knuckle dusters ready to fend off the hordes wanting to steal my seat and/or sit in my lap (see http://london-underground.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/lap-sitting-on-tube.html).
But this was in fact the Victoria Line tube ready to set off from Walthamstow at 7.50am (ignore the time for the pic, my camera hasn't gone forward with British summer time). One rather untroublesome-looking chap minding his own business. When the tube finally left the station, there was a grand total of four people (including me) in my carriage. Unheard of. Can we have this Olympics thing all year round please?
Had a lot to do at work today and I met Grace for a longish lunch so was only able to sneak quick peeks at the telly and on the online feeds to catch a bit of Olympic action. And in the end, the divers didn't do as well as everyone had hoped.
But got home in time to catch the men's gymnastics team do well good - for a few seconds it looked like silver, but a bronze was fairly smashing too.
Same here empty trains. I think it's any half decent firm has let there staff work from home!
We were told to leave earlier as it was our responsibility to get to work on time etc etc, as you can tell I work for a bunch of ..... :D
Shame about silver eh, just watched replay the robbing Japs! Also that lap sitting thing is obvs banksy style art/joke I take it, sticker looks legit though.

The C2C was also very, very quiet today... Although on saying that, I usually catch the 9:20 which is normally just me and the driver haha
