Looking across the river towards Vauxhall. MI6 on the left, then the rather odd carbuncular flats at St George Wharf, then what is to become the tallest residential building in the UK, Vauxhall Tower. Playing with the manual settings on my Lumix for a long exposure and timed shutter release.
Returned this way after my work book club meeting - pleasant bookish chat over wine, cocktails and cheese and vegetarian platters.
@rich57 - it was Freedom by Jonathan Franzen - life, love, sex, family - and how they f*** you up - or you f*** them up .... and the illusory concept of 'freedom'.
@andycoleborn - thanks, does look very interesting! Don't think I'll make it - such a lot on this weekend (open house, gorilla run, our local Stow festival) - I suspect I'll make none of it ...
H @andrewrome365 - ha ha - small world! You can tell her it's still there, and not far from me - a nice little corner of a somewhat grubby round the edges borough of London ...
Been looking at your other photos - interesting. My wife was born in Diana Road, Walthamstow many years ago.
