Mouth of the tunnel

Picked up Hilary this morning and Dave drove us to Chingford so I could do a recce for a walk from Chingford to Walthamstow I'm leading for my walking group. An early start to try and beat the rain although it still came a lot earlier than it should have done.

Walked south through strange narrow corridors of Epping Forest, remnants of the old Waltham Forest. Lots of typical Epping Forest scenery - beeches, glades, horse rides. Ended up at the village for lunch at the Nag's Head, then via the town hall to the William Morris Gallery where we had a quick peek at the Grayson Perry.

This was one of the tunnels going under the various bits of major road mayhem at Waterworks roundabout where the North Circular passes.

Sorry am well behind commenting as usual - and thank you so much for all the nice comments and faves on the Vauxhall shot, that was a nice surprise. Will try and do a bit of catch-up but may not be till tomorrow ...

Sounds like a fascinating walk but I'm not sure I'd go through that tunnel!
