Yellow flower beds

October rainbow challenge - Week 1: Natural World - Wednesday: Yellow

The big flower tubs around the town square are planted with orange and yellow blooms. A bit of a displeasing composition as I tried to get the yellow shop facade in the background too and the flower at the back isn't distinguished enough from the jumble of floweriness in front of it.

Interestingly, I used the word 'displeased' in a rather cross email - 'I am rather displeased at how this has panned out' I said. I quite like that - displeased.

Nice and still looking summery. I think your month is going to look good. Yes thats a good word. As is disappointed. They hint at so much! There was a lot of displeased looks and raised eyebrows at DEFRA on Monday.

I love it when a town square is planted with flowers. So traditional and dare I say "European". Our streets planting is always so minimalist, we go for the no-maintenance style! Lovely yellows all round.

Fantastic yellow shot for the challenge!

'displeased' is quite modest - I was in an evil foul mood yesterday - displeased would have been an improvement!
