It's that time of year again, the annual Finnish church Christmas bazaar - and this year the whole thing's been branded a Scandinavian market as the Norwegian church had their Christmas fair on and, a new thing, there were stalls all the way along between the two churches with more Scandi crafts, food and general goodies. How splendid. A previous year's pic http://www.flickr.com/photos/ayla63/5192557417/
Met Tulin to have a wander round and spend far too much money on presents, chocolates, food and stuff. Very damp day though with the predicted heavy rain arriving sooner than expected. After a wander, we had Karelian pasties, open sandwiches and Finnish pastries in the cafe (by this time, both churches were absolutely mobbed - you need to get there early) and then ended up in the Mayflower for lots of mulled cider. Have done that in previous years too http://www.flickr.com/photos/ayla63/6406886831/in/set-72157625740398674
Still raining when we left, and me dragging along my crammed-to-the-gills shopping trolley, we decided to walk along the river towards Tate Modern where Tulin was meeting her friend. Lovely part of town that is. Left Tulin at Tower Bridge and walked up to Liverpool Street to get a train home.
